Leah Secord is a filmmaker, artist, musician, and storyteller. Leah’s love for creating stories emerged the moment she learned to string words into sentences and her interest in film and theatre soon followed suit. Not only is Leah passionate about the arts, but she is a social activist and public speaker. Leah has spoken to audiences about the importance of volunteering and community involvement and has been recognized for her ongoing humanitarian efforts and leadership by the New Brunswick Red Cross and the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation.
Growing up in Saint John, New Brunswick, Leah left the province to attend Queen’s University in 2010 but her heart has never left the East Coast. Graduating from the Bachelor Of Arts, Stage and Screen Program in the spring of 2014, Leah hopes to put the skills, knowledge and experiences she has garnered in the past four years to use by creating works of film and theatre for development.
